Service reset iid.

Help please.
I serviced my car last month and thought I had reset the service indicator using my iid, but today the service required message flashed up when I switched on.
I have tried the service/test reset car sequence again, but apart from resetting the clock, interior light off, forward alert and speed warnings I am still getting the service required message ??

I must have done it right last year but , what am I missing ?.? Please.

Please perform the appropriate maintenance prior to resetting. This procedure requires the
engine to be turned OFF. The ignition must be turned ON.

Did you have the engine running? Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Because I got it wrong last time I made myself this little note...
1) Service/ test menu
2)Instrument Pack E .C.U.
3) Service Interval Reset.
Page 58 in manual.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Thanks for that Mike. I am being a bit thick as I tried the Service button on mine but only have the oil level check show using right side buttons. Are to referring to a work shop manual by chance? Checked you tube where some other LR models can reset by lifting the bonnet and depressing the accelerator etc. will clear the service req'd light. Thought something similar might apply to my 2012 4.4 tdv8 ?

Might be jumping the gun if a warning light doesn't appear!

many thanks
Dave

Dave
You need a plug in diagnostic system to reset serive interval on your model RR. Mike's instructions refer to the sequence for the ever populat GAP IID Bluetooth available from Dan at Duckworths for £405. See For Sale section. Best £405 you will spend on it. Does a lot of functions like read and clear codes, suspension calibration, settings changes and lots, lots more. Can't recommend it highly enough. They sometimes come up for sale on the other forums too then £25 to transfer to your VIN Thumbs Up Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

No Dave,
I am referring to the GAP iid tool and instruction manual, which is the only way that I know how to reset the service indicator.
I don’t think it is possible without some form of reader connected to the OBD port.

That clears that up and I should get some sleep tonight! It’s a bit of a learning curve after 20 yrs of Volvo v70’s. Never let me down but a job getting of after a journey. RR a real treat to drive and pleased with the space etc. as well.
Thanks again

Just posting to let you guys know i have an autel obd tool, and this offers the option to perform a service reset too.
Can't see any way of determining time / miles to next service, only ability to reset it. Too many toys, not enough time

Although not any 100 % proof of success, the ICarsoft LR11 Diagnostic tool may well have cleared the oil change setting on my V8 td 2012 range rover. It listed auto and manual alternatives. Choosing the manual option it advised a procedure of opening drivers door, bonnet and holding the foot brake for ten seconds together with on and off ignition settings. This seemed very similar to other routines for Land Rovers on you tube. Time will tell but the right oil and filter was changed on the 12 month basis.

Regards to all
Dave
