Key woes

I only have just the one key for the 2002 RR. The other day a low battery warning came up on the dash for the key. This was changed for another and all seemed good, then the same thing a few days later and changed for another battery. Yesterday the same warning and today the remote won't unlock the car. The light on the fob is blinking and bright, but nothing.
I manually unlocked the car , alarm went off , but with the key in the ignition, all OK.

Tried the lock the car and it locked first time, but now back to the unlocking not working. Even if I get a dealer key, will this work, don't I need both to sync ?
Thanks

A new key from LR (£175!!) will work, e.g. unlock the door manually (alarm goes off) then key in ignition - all is well.
You will then have to sync both keys one after the other.

I would suggest first trying to sync the key you have.

May be worth doing a battery disconnection first and leaving the car for a good while before reconnecting, in case the remote locking system is having a tizzy.

(DO NOT LOCK THE CAR OR SHUT THE BONNET!!) .

Cheers. Simple key sync did the job.
