Good tip with the floss, another method is to make a template (before removing them) with some old greetings card and some masking tape, I actually reused the old letters including "VOGUE" and the bar above the number plate, just sprayed them with some silver wheel paint and stuck 'em back on with double sided tape , obviously you can't have the hi chrome finish doing this - but no money changes hands

Never trust the so called template that the lettering sets come in, the first time I used one, I applied it and they were all wonky, much better to do as here and just apply yourself one by one, this is what I did with mine. Discovery 4 HSE

Are there any measurements for the rear lettering ? The badging on mine looks to have been changed and was rather wonky. I have lettering but no template.

Any chance someone with a car at home with a tape measure can tell me the distance from the lower edge if the tailgate to the low edge of the lettering ?

4.5 cm on mine. Ie. four and a half centimetres . Straight line so all that distance. John

I recorded 1" (or about 25 mm) from the top of the grey plastic tailgate trim strip to the bottom of the letters. 2010 RR SC
