2012 headlight removal

Hi again
I’m trying to get the headlights out of my 2012 rangey
So as I can alter the beam pattern.
I’ve taken the 3 retaining bolts off, but unit will still not come out, can someone tell me what I’ve missed please?

Hi SFM,

Is this to place into 'tourist' mode? If so, you do not need to remove the lamps.

Or, are you looking to modify the internals to pass the French equivalent of an MOT?

Unscrew the black circular disc/cover at the back of each lamp.

Peer inside (trickly angle) and you'll see a white plastic piece. Move the piece up or down to flatten the beam. It will probably be stiff and feel like it should not move, but a bit of wiggling will free it and you hear it 'clink' the piece of metal within the lamp change to flatten the beam.

It's a rubbish design. Park against a wall so you can see the difference in the beam pattern.

Driving from Calais to Alicante, I didn't get flashed or stopped so I know they work!

There is a clip on Youtube but its no help at all. So ignore it.

She is in the body shop still, if as soon as I get her back I will be having a fiddle again with the speedo.

Could be later today. Miss her!
