You can certainly operate it with diagnostics software (ie EAS Unlock) without the engine running. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE |

But you can't recharge the air tank without the engine running. Thats the point of the extra air valves set up I mentioned, you put air directly into each air spring as needed..... ______________________________ Simon ______________________________ Range Rover Classic 3.5 efi - Gone Range Rover Classic 3.9 efi - Gone Range Rover Classic 4.2 LSE - Sadly gone Land Rover 110 3.5 - Gone Range Rover P38a 4.0 SE - Pleased it's gone Range Rover P38a 2.5 DHSE - Just sold Range Rover L322 4.4 v8 Petrol - Current |

He says he did it using nanocom when re calibrating the air suspension. Ran the compressor without the engine running, though ignition was on and lifted the car up. Not sure how removing the engine will effect a non error ignition though? But certainly could run the compressor and raise suspension without engine running via nanocom. 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 TDV8

That is true you can activate the compressor, but in the long run when parked waiting for your missus and with a boot full of shopping you get a suspension fault.

I used to run my compressor quite a lot to fill the tank when I was playing around with mine so it certainly can be done without the engine running (this was with EAS Unlock).
