Engine undertray....

Following the oil cooler repair I’ve still got oil weeping out of the sodden sponge in the undertray Censored
Anybody know if the sponge is bonded to the metal undertray?
Might just order a new one from Advanced. Apparently the sponge (6775C) is not included on new ones - 6775B
Anybody ordered a new one recently?

I would just get the local Hand car Wash to jet wash it and leave it off the car to dry...

I've not got a sponge on mine.
the 4.4TDV8 is a leaky one, seems they predicted that if they added a sponge.
Might have been better to just make it not leak me thinks!

. Cheers, Greg

Going to ditch the sponge. It just hides any issues....
Can't be Censored cleaning current metal pan. New one ordered.
Remove old, clean everything on bottom of engine etc
Fit new.
Throw oiled sponge away.

It is not a sponge, is is thin, soft plastic sheath preformed with different size and shape cubes, it is designed to lesen the engine sound. I clean mine with oven cleaner and final rinse with brake cleaner. good as new, Thumbs Up 2012 TDV8 Black Edition

Pan off at weekend and have a gander on what’s going on.....
Does the front plastic protector have to come off first? Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
