I've had my RR cloned, the only place I can think of where I'd posted it with the registration is here. Obviously it could be cloned many ways, but as the title says - be aware how easy it is! The clone is at the other end of the UK - and will soon be OFF THE ROAD  Land Rover Addict

Yes but what be useful for forum members to know is how you found out ?

That way we can collectively reduce instances of this occurring again .

all i'm saying Neil is that with social media and online car sellers and even spotting the vehicle in a car park/road , its easy to get a reg number..

certainly it could have been cloned from seeing your pics on here....

My mate had his plates stolen off his Porsche.
They were custom plates, cops said they go for custom plates because it's less important they (thieves) find a year-matched plate. If that makes sense?

Seems there are not too many of those....
Google says only 300 were made.

It looks like it - supercharged body kit with no visible exhausts. Photo isn't clear enough to read the badge - but it either says supercharged or Westminster. Yeah 2009 - only 300 of them. Mine is different enough to prove it wasn't me - luckily I like stickers - so mine carries my photography logos and the race tracks of the UK down each side

Now of course I have to put up with being stopped  Land Rover Addict

So it was a camera based speeding ticket?

I have a friend with a RR Evoque, her's has been cloned twice. Twice she received a NIP for speeding that wasn't her and she was able to prove she was at the other end of the country.
