[SOLD] 2011 Range Rover 4.4 TDV8 SE MY12 | |
I’ll be replacing my L322 with an L405 shortly, so its now for sale.
It’s a 4.4 TDV8 SE, Fuji White with semi-aniline black leather, first registered 31st December 2011, it's a 2012 model year with black insert headlights / tail lights, Range Rover script in the piano black door inserts, darker front grill, colour coded outer door handles etc.
98,000 miles with one former (local to me) owner from new – originally purchased from TH White LR in Royal Wootton Bassett (now Grange LR). I have the original New Vehicle invoice totalling £75,500.
Usual SE specification (see Topix build sheet below for full list) also has RSE (with touch screen remote and two pairs of IR headphones) and a removable tow bar which was fitted by the previous owner in April 2017, I have the supporting invoice from Stratstone Cheltenham for this, £727. I’ve never towed anything, the previous owner advised me he towed a small trailer occasionally.
I purchased this as a stop gap but since buying it, the following work has been completed as I like my cars to be perfect!
The wheels have been fully refurbished (by Platinum Alloys, Swindon - highly recommended) inc. diamond cutting / re-lacquering, they are now in perfect condition and fitted with new Goodyear 255/55/20 tyres less than 1,000 miles ago. Also fitted new genuine wheel nuts at the same time.
All brake discs / pads replaced less than 1,000 miles ago.
New rear brake pipe / flexi-hoses fitted - there was signs of corrosion.
New upper / lower rear hub bushes & anti-roll bar links.
New front brake calipers fitted – the dark grey finish on the original ones had faded quite badly (I assume from wheel cleaner being sprayed onto them and not rinsed off properly). Managed to source a pair of new take-off calipers for a very reasonable price so I changed them.
New near side complete front suspension strut (Bilstein) – there was a small leak on the bag of the original unit. The off-side had already been replaced by the previous owner.
New Denso alternator and all pulleys / tensioner / both belts replaced (all genuine items). There was a slight squeak on cold start, (although it disappeared once warm) but now it runs quietly at all times. Inspecting the pulleys I removed, I suspect it was the alternator idler that was squeaking, but decided to replace everything whilst it was apart. The auxiliary belt now runs fully on the tensioner pulley – something to check on these engines indicating a failing tensioner if it's starting to run slightly off the pulley.
Both oil cooler gaskets have been replaced – also replaced the infamous o ring seals on the oil cooler feed pipe with viton seals.
There is absolutely no corrosion whatsoever on either of the rear wheel arches or the rear tailgate – both typically rust prone, I checked inside the tailgate by removing the inner trim and it's completely rust free. I’ve treated both areas with Dinitrol ML to keep them this way. The rest of the body work is also in excellent condition, the only exception being a very small scuff on the near-side of the rear bumper. The bonnet and front bumper have no stone chips.
The interior is again in excellent condition – I spent a day thoroughly cleaning & conditioning all the leather (I used Gliptone leather care products), I’ve also replaced the steering wheel with a brand new item very recently.
Both key cases replaced with new genuine LR parts.
New genuine LR rubber floor mats fitted recently, also has a genuine LR heavy duty rubber boot mat fitted.
The service history is as follows (with all original receipts) –
15/01/13 TH White LR @ 10,407 miles – ‘A’ Service (supporting invoice for £395)
05/02/14 Car Care Tetbury @ 26,340 miles, ‘B’ Service (supporting invoice for £298)
13/02/15 TH White LR @ 40,859 miles, ‘A’ Service (supporting invoice for £431)
15/02/16 Grange LR (previously TH White LR) @ 53,397 miles, Oil Service (supporting invoice for £405)
13/03/17 Car Care Tetbury @ 72,214 miles, Oil Service / Inspection 1 (supporting invoice for £285)
18/12/17 Car Care Tetbury @ 88,641 miles, Oil Service / Inspection 2 (supporting Invoice for £646)
New MOT today - so 12 months from 12/11/18. Only one advisory on minor chips to windscreen not affecting drivers view - you have to look hard to see them but the tester said he had to flag as an advisory.
