You see again this is just not true. I've put a 2.25 piper exhaust with sports cat on my Elan (instead of the std 2inch). I also removed the PreCat and had some work done on the ECU to take advantage of the new freer flow and picked up more than 20% power gain - very clearly seen/felt on track. I agree that putting a dustbin exhaust on a 1.0 Vauxhall Corsa is pure ASBO and nothing to do with performance but bigger freer flowing exhausts are definitely part of a path to greater performance. ....and I put some special stripes on my RS Turbo in 1987 which I'm sure made that quicker too Mike - MPx 2017 5.0 V8 Supercharged SVAutobigraphy Dynamic SVO Palette Grey (2021-...) 2012 5.0 V8 Supercharged Autoboigraphy Orkney Grey (2017-2021) 2007 4.2 V8 Supercharged Vogue SE Tonga Green (2012-2017) 2002 4.4 V8 Vogue Bonnatti Grey (2008-2012) |

I did mean the pipe after the backbox..... However, I'm sure the sports cat, removal of the PreCat and the work on the ECU all made more difference than the 1/4" - not to mention the new pipe probably had smoother bends |

LOL, don't get too excited, the only srious troubles I had upon buying RRS were with dealers: one Toyota for a 3.6L 322 (the alternator failed on the way home from the dealer!) and a Porsche indy for a 4.4 TDV8 322) all private purchases was all good on the long run. Anyhow, enjoy your new ride! l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l Current RANGE ROVER Vogue 4.4L SDV8 - 2013 - Indus Silver, on Almond.
