General help required for an L322 Numpty

Hi all, I am new to this forum (I used to be a member of Disco3 for about 9 years). I have just bought a 2010 L322 3.6 TDV8 Autobiography but I have a bunch of questions due to my ignorance on these cars, so any help would be massively appreciated!

1. The AC does not get particularly cold, but seems to be colder on the passenger side (still not very cold) than the drivers. I have it booked in for a recharge, should that sort it out?

2. The backs of the cooled seats don't seem to work, the base gets cold but he backs don't change, is there a known issue there?

3. I really have to press hard on the brake pedal to start the car, is there a known issue there?

4. I cannot tell if the adaptive lights work, I have tried to turn the steering when the car is stationary but there does not seem to be much difference. The warning light is not on, but do they only work when you are moving?

5. The battery contacts in the remote for the RSE are corroded, is there a supplier for replacement, or do I need to go to LR main dealer?

Other than that, I love the car!!! Sorry to sound like a total numpty but I could really do with some help.

Thanks

Cant help on the others but for No 4 :-
When I went in a fairly dark multi story carpark I put my headlights on and when turning right to go up to the next floor above, the extra bulb came on and suddenly lit up the cars parked on my right side. repeated for turning left. Thumbs Up

1. Hopefully

2. The backs dont push out too much cool air on mine or on my previous 07 VSE

3. My 2011 VSE only requires a gentle push on the brake pedal.

4. No , the adaptive lights move when the car is stationery, try starting the car at night and see if the lights do a disco dance on the garage wall. If not check you have adaptive lights because they move quite a bit when you go from lock to lock.

5. Never seen a replacement supplier but you do see them on the bay.

They are great cars and glad your enjoying it. 2015 4.4 AB

Mun, since your location says Reading, the people you need to talk to are Rovertune. I found them very experienced in all things Range Rover, and friendly honest guys too.

Do you also have to press hard for brake lights to come on? Could it be a faulty brake light switch? 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Mine sometimes needs a good push on the pedal to start, I find if you put pressure more to the left side of the brake pedal it starts no problem.

Don’t know if this is ‘normal’, has always been like this for the seven months I have owned it.

Hope this helps Thumbs Up

Thanks, I will give that a go, I tried with the engine running and turned it lock to lock, but did not see any extra light.

On the adaptive lights , don't confuse them with the ' cornering' lights. Not sure if your model has them or not ( as an option) but on my 2007 VSE it had adaptive and cornering lights. The cornering lights came on sub 40 mph i think and basically light up the kerb / footpath from an extra bulb in the headlight as you turned . The cornering lights move the beam quite considerably as you drive. I used to show people by turning the steering wheel from side to side gently and the lights would move to each side of the road and if memory serves the lights work independently of each other. As in each beam moves one after the other l. I only realised I had the adaptive lights on a spirited drive along a tight country road. I thought i was seeing things and then discovered what they were. 2015 4.4 AB
