2008 tdv8 156,000 miles

I am thinking of buying a 2008 3.6 TDv8, it's from a local dealer. Has 14 service stamps and had a turbo replaced. It's going for £7995, looked at MOT history and no obvious worries. Is this a good price for the mileage or should I be looking at something with less miles?

What sort of mileage do you do? What's the overall condition of the car? I had a 2007 3.6 tdv8 and sold it with about 165,000 miles on it and it was a fantastic machine. Mileage is obviously an indicator of a car but so many other factors come into it. A 3.6 twin turbo diesel could go on for ever with the right maintenance and sensible driving. Also there was a lad on this board a year or so ago that had a new RR sport on loan and i wouldnt have wanted to buy that after how he treated it for 4 weeks l. By 156,000 miles you would think most serviceable parts would have been replaced once if not twice. Maybe invest in full check by a reputable mechanic. 2015 4.4 AB

Mine's on 151,000. Looked at a few newer lower miles 4.4 to replace it, but nothing drives as nice as this one. Hence had it nearly three years.

Australia 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Atacama Sand

My 2008 tdv8 has a few more km, but has had about 27 Services (every 6000miles/10,000km). The JLR prescribed 2008 service interval is 6500/11000km. So I think the previous owner may have scrimped on servicing, maybe on the advice of a service centre. Particularly as the JLR recommended interval for the facelift L322 with the same motor was 24,000km, which is too long IMHO.

My L322 has the original turbos at 275,000km. I replaced the trans/TF box at 240,000km. ______________________________
