Hi All, just a quick one. Looked at lots of vids to remove a rear light cluster, 2 bolts , but do you just then pull it off, as i cant see the small indents that you would then put pressure in to pop it out. does it just need a small screw driver to prise it out.

I want to re-seal, as it has water inside, and looks a bit naf

Yes - undo the 2 on the inside and it should slide towards you - may need a little leverage if its been there for a long time.

There is two prongs on the back of he light which go into grommets on the rear wing. Take out the bolts and the light basically slides out backwards. The indents should be on the light on the rear wing edge. bit not sure if there are any on the 2011

I would use something more protective than a screw driver to prise it or you could damage the paint. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I cut a thin wedge out of softwood and then tapped it in the gap to gently drive the lights forward and off the clips. No damage to anything. I would suggest greasing the clips before putting the lights back in place, makes it easier to remove next time.

The socket into which the ball joint slides (on my 2004, at least) can become brittle with age. Mine broke when levering the light out. Ron B. VK2OTC

Is the unit fully sealed, or do you just undo the 4 t20's and it opens?

Left the bolts, used hot air to go through the 2 holes after removing the rubber covers on the back, all dry, resealed and fitted back, cheers guys
