I have a 2005 the BMW to Ford conversion year with the BMW motor car with a knackered motor ( Dont have the funds nor interested in bringing the car back to life ) Now this has the MOST system was wonder how hard (or even possible ) would it be to transfer the ICE system, including GPS and bluetooth over to my 2003 L322. Would I have to strip the entire car for the fiber optic wiring or is it possible just to swap over all the modules, I took out the navigation DVD in the for sure all the connectors are different, even the way its fitted on the car is different.

So anybody done this before, I've trawled the interwebz but haven't gotten much info regarding this.

I have been doing a fair bit of work on a 2006 facelift touch screen model with the BMW TD6 engine and half and half electronics and it’s a pain as it doesn’t seem to follow either sets of rules.
All I can say is good luck if you manage it, I have had issues with programming new keys, trying to self test the instrument cluster, pairing immobiliser ECU from the new system to EMS from the old BMW setup and connecting up my Faultmate has been a trying to decide which modules from the old system and which from the new system I need to communicate with the various ECUs.

Not worth the cost or hassle imo , not that good a system , better to upgrade the 03 i reckon

Sounds easier to swap engines and get the 2005 going.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
