Some years ago I had two incidents where other drivers hit me. One was repaired the other was written off. I tried to insist I wanted a statement saying it was the other parties fault so my premiums would not increase. I was told insurers will never admit liability that way but there is a phrase ‘in full and final settlement’ which effectively means the same thing. It worked on both occasions, even in one instance where I had to renew my policy before the claim was settled and my premium had gone up, once I had that phrase in writing my premium increase was refunded.

The plot thickens on this ! On contacting aviva , we started going thru details and the girl on the phone confirmed the 3rd party had reported the incident and then asked if i owned audi A8 ? Reg no 2 w** , i obvs said no i have a range rover , at this point she told me the 3rd party had hit another car in the same car park 2 days before she hit my ff ! Shocked

Good to hear that you're having it repaired. Aviva usually have good approved repairers, therefore no problems Thumbs Up
