Mysterious switch

Hello
I discovered this switch this morning on my L322 TDV8 3.6.


What is its function?
When I press it (on any side) it is like when you put the contact, but without the key.

I’m not absolutely sure but I think it’s there from when the car was new and it’s something to do with transportation mode?

There is a switch for transport mode,but I’m not sure that’s it.

Looks more like a window switch which has been added fo some reason, the panel looks like the one under the passenger side glovebox/footwell area.

Possible it’s an extra addition as I don’t recall having one on my 3.6 and there isn’t one on my 4.4.....

Or I could be wrong, and that’s exactly what it is...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
