Strange sticking/braking when coming to a stop | |
A bit difficult to find a title to describe this. I have just bought a 2005 Range Rover Supercharged (55 plate - 23/11/2005) and it goes alright but sometimes when coming to a halt it seems to stop and then sort of seems to "jump forward" when stopped. I have also received the error message "transmission fault - reduced traction" message a couple of times on start up. The previous owner has fitted a battery voltage meter where the coin tray normally is and this has been reading 13.8 - 14.5 volts so I am sure the battery is fine. He said that he replaced the battery last year.
I have also found it to feel a bit "lumpy" when idling. The previous owner did his own servicing and provided a Britpart diagnostics machine specifically assigned to this car and I am concerned that he has made some changes using this kit. Is there a way to "reset" the car to factory specs using one of these machines?
There seems to be a problem with the reversing camera and rear parking sensor. When reverse is selected the screen shows the rear view but the pictures is hazy - almost looks like it is slightly off tune. The rear sensors do not seem to work every time and the camera does not switch off when Drive is selected. Sometimes the parking aid switch in the cabin blinks but there is no sound.
Thanks for any suggestions or advice.
Regards,
Steve
