Had mine in at an independent and he's flagged an oil leak saying "oil leak cylinder head oil pressure plug"

Haven't had a chance to speak to him yet as I'm away but wondering if anyone's come across this?

He's saying It needs a gasket and the location is behind the vacuum pump. That's what will take must of the work.

I had oil leak from the front of the engine and it was this large inbus bolt located right under thermostat. I was able to unscrew it (you can't take it out because of the thermostat) put some gasket silicon and retighten it. no more leaks . it is fiddly job, i used coathanger wire and cotton swab to apply silicon but it is doable. if you take throttle body of it makes job much easier.

My leak is at the rear, he has also identified (separately) the classic 2 o-ring leak from the turbo oil feed pipe. Then said they couldn't see the actual source of the other leak. I said probably the same, no? And he said they would need to do the o-rings, clean it then check again. Which makes sense.

So might not be anything other than the o-ring leak.

when i had O rings leak I also had leak from the oil cooler itself which was leaking oil to the outside but also inside into the antifreeze.ended up changing gaskets. check pictures i posted in the "4.4 TDV8 Oil Leak Fix".
