Supercharger

I have a MY 2010 5.0L supercharged and it has developed a slight whine at low revs, I suspect the supercharger as i recently had to have it removed to fix a water leak. As the car has done over 115000 miles I was thinking I might need to give the supercharger a bit of TLC anyway,

So two questions
1. what supercharger is it
2. and recommendations regarding what I might get done and specialists to do the work.

Thanks
Geoff Thumbs Up

PS
I don't really want to do anything too complicated myself, I would rather pay (its safer Very Happy ). Geoff

Thanks Stan.
I did use the search - honest Embarassed - but didn't find the interesting thread you highlighted. Geoff

The only info I could find was JAG 5.0 V8 (AJ133) uses Eaton TVS R1900 supercharger.

and I believe they share the same engine????. I wanted the info so as to find out what oil and quantity it used as I intend

to change the oil in it on my vehicle..

Thanks to both.
I did enquire to Powerhouse Superchargers but they were sorry they didn't work on Range Rovers and don't yet have parts to rebuild the supercharger on the 5.0L V8 but on the plus side they did give me some advice about the symptoms I had and they thought it very unlikely to be the supercharger.
I'll take it to my local Indie and see what they think. Geoff

Just got back from the Indie, they reckon a new supercharger the bad news is they don't do refurbs or indeed know of anyone locally. The good news is that I should get some change out of £3k to supply and fit a new JLR unit.
Ah well you can't take it with you Very Happy Geoff

Hope they are right if Powerhouse have said it unlikely to be the supercharger. Could be a costly mistake otherwise... Alex

If there are any options I was hoping the forum might come up with 'em. One that springs to mind immediately is that I just put up with the whine - the car is running normally and its not that bad. Geoff

I had a whine from mine that was the alternator in the end. How have they come to the conclusion that it is the supercharger?

Oil change in it if possible is not a bad place to start.
