Very useful info Joe, thanks,
Mine just had a MOT, passed but with advisories on the brake pipes corroding.
The guy took me on a tour of the underside, and its amazing the amount of surface rust showing at the rear.
For a very low milage fatty its pretty disgusting how the b/pipes have corroded and surface rust has appeared (eg behind the rear inner plastic wheel arches) .
My Octavia MK1 Vrs, the pipes are still like new even tho its a higher milage car and the u/side is pristine.
Mind you Skoda did used to build tanks in the first WW .
Been reading your very very useful post on brake pipes and been buying all the bits so when it cools down a bit I shall replace them with Cunifer (got 2 rolls just in case). I did the same with my Classic RR, they were one of the few areas that hadnt rusted.
NB: My ABS block is sited next to the servo also on n/s wing there seems to be a small distribution manifold for the brake lines.
