Hi folks,

I am looking to get a 2010 RR this weekend and wanted the advice as to what I should be looking for.. So far the ones I have seen have the tailgate rust, the rear window seals rotten but other than that what should I be looking for mechanically and electronically.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

There's a great WIKI on this site that has a buyers guide which points out what to look for.... that should be your starting point for a reference.
Your question has been asked many many times. The search facility is also very good and can be used over and over unlike some forums that have limited search capabilities....

As Stew suggests, the Wiki is a great source of information.

Otherwise, I would recommend to look at as many as possible to get a 'feel' for the car as you can quite quickly notice one that has been well looked after / well serviced / nice and tight etc.

Also try to identify what options / extras are key for you... I had TV screens in mine but never used them! Hence they wouldn't fall into the 'must have' options for next time (I sold mine earlier this week, but will be back in another LR soon enough, I already miss it!).

Once you've got your wish list... it's then patience for the right car and willingness to travel.

I got an RAC inspection. Pricey - and he didn't find a few things that I had to get the dealer to put right later under warranty. But even so it's worth thinking about.

If not then you can do it yourself, you will need 4-5 hours, checking every single function, test drive, climbing under. Follow the checklist on the wiki.
