If you pull out one of the black louver type vents behind the switches for turning on the map light you should be able to put your finger in and push out the unit that holds the bulbs and switches. |

You can't fit LED bulbs as there isn't enough room. What I did was buy some normal bulbs but ones with blue glass so they appear white when on.

The roof console is held on by 3 (maybe 2) screws in the sunglass holder. Removed these and the whole unit can drop down. |

Cheers guys, popped the little square panel out from behind the light unit so could get my fingers in and release the light.

The owner's handbook instructions for removing the light panel is wrong. It tells to lever from the end. Don't! Do as the workshop manual says and lever from the rear. Once you've popped it out, you'll see why. It is not designed to be removed from the side. Ditto the tailgate lights.
Nope, the hole is too small - I tried them today. I did get them to fit after modifying them but they aren't that bright. Ron B. VK2OTC 2003 L322 V8 Auto 2007 Yamaha XJR1300 Previous: 1983, 1986 RRC; 1995, 1996 P38A; 1995 Disco1; 1984 V8 County 110; Series IIA |
