To close the windows try and press your remote for total closure. Can't help with the key problem though - sorry.... ______________________________

Thanks, absolutely nothing happening using remote, and have to leave the vehicle in 10 minutes for an appointment?

have you been sitting there listening to the radio?

sounds like the battery has died and not enough power to disable the steering and gearbox interlock. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

If you absolutely have to leave it as is and you have any tools then throw something over the ignition to hide the keys and disconnect the battery.

Sorry, I know this doesn't help actually solving the problem.

Not sure about this but, key in the door lock and turn to lock then hold. That should shut everything up unless has been said the battery is flattish.... ______________________________

Hmmm, I can take the key in and out no probs it just will not turn to position one even and as said cannot get hear selector out of park,

Think I remember the adaptive lighting icon flashing before it died on me ?

I'm back with the car now ( no one stole it while I was away ),

I remember when parking it it really clunked into reverse and drive and doesn't usually would that be anything to do with it ?

Anyone got. Any more tries to get it going and get me home as would not want to leave it here after dark !

This sounds like when my battery was completely flat, the car shuts itself down and does not let you do anything. See if you can get charge into the battery via jump leads/booster pack (this may take some time) and you might need to short the system out to clear the blockage. Apparently once the battery gets low enough the car shuts off all function and that needs to be cleared before the car will start again. The recovery technician that helped me spoke to LR Assist even though I didn't have that cover any more and they advised him what to do, one would hope they would do the same for you if necessary, 0800 521 786.

Good luck! Only Range Rovers since 1988

Ok thanks ( guess who left the XSPowerpack at home today after helping someone jump their car yesterday ?),

Had a New battery about a month ago,

Wierd how it would go flat whilst I'm driving it and set all the alarm icons off though don't you think ?

How do you mean " may need to short the system to clear blockages"?

Yep RAC just confirmed the Alternator is no more ( could smell it when he connected some power ) and prob my new battery as it read 0.23v😮,

So now got to wait and be recovered to an approved garage 20 miles from here then sort a lift out back home 20 miles the other way,

Ho hum only came here to see an Osteopath about my side/back as having some issues and now this ,
It's took my mind off the back pain though (thinking about the cost of new Alternator etc 😂),
