Front brake caliper bracket mounting bolts

Hi all,
I was about to change pads and discs on my 2009 L322 TDV8, all was going swimmingly until I tried to remove the bracket in order to free the disc. Bracket is held on by two bolts that are of a 12 point design. Can anyone tell me what tool is required in order to remove them? A 21mm 12 point socket seems to fit but I'm not sure it's up to the torque required to loosen the bolt, which is on tighter than a very tight thing! Do I need a torx socket perhaps, and if so, what size?
Many thanks in advance!

Thanks, I'll get to it with a length of scaffold pole at the weekend!

Two lengths of pole and a fat git required. In all my years, I'd never come across two bolts so firmly tightened .

Use thread-locker when refitting them too.
