Hi,

I've just done a replacement of all 6 glow plugs as 5 were non-functioning, and also 1 injector (no.3) which was excessively leaking back (filled the bottle in the leak test in no time, and IID tool was reading 7mm compensation on that cylinder). During this exercise I also changed the oil and replaced oil and air filters

Since putting it all back together, I have a acquired a tapping/chuffing sound, proportional to engine speed, much like a tappet sound. The car does seem to run ok, and starts on the button now too.

I fear I may have dislodged some soot perhaps, causing a valve to stick open, or perhaps not reassembles correctly, though I am fairly sure it wend back together right.

Any thoughts what might be going on?

Hazard a guess that you haven't seated the injector properly, sounds like you have a leak on the seal somewhere, or one of the glow plugs isn't right. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
