park heat / cooling key fob

Due to me being an idiot Big Cry I need a new key fob for my pre heat/cooling.
I am loathed to go to LR and be royally done over, so off to eBay I went hoping they would be ten a penny.

MMMMmmmmmm... none for the L322 but plenty for L405, evoque and freelanders such as...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RANGE-ROVER-2-BU...3641.l6368

Anyone know if is compatible ? It looks very similar but that means nowt I guess.

thanks

I don't know if that would work but I do know that the units were supplied by Webasto and the T91 fob works with the FF system. They are normally about £30 on the Bay...quite often see genuine ones for the same price if you are willing to wait. Hope that helps.

Yeah my current one is (was) a t91.
I have ordered the L405 equivalent as the seller said he will refund it if I can't get it to pair with my system.
I'll report back for future reference If it works or not.

I thought they actually need programming to the receiver not just pairing like a BT phone etc? Dealer job? 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

When they paired a new fob for me, it took the sum total of about six seconds, no tools and that's including the walk from the boot to the cabin so I don't think there's a great deal to it.

I could of course be wrong.

The T90 and T91 definitely don't need pairing by a dealer. How to is in Wiki. Don't know if the L405 is different. John

I had to re sync/pair my t91 fob last year as for some reason it lost connection.

Basically it's a case of pulling the fuse or power lead to the receiver, wait a few seconds and then plug it back in and press the off button on the fob within 3 seconds. Job done.

Don't confuse it with the main key fob for the car lock/starting. That's usually a dealer thing...certainly the coding of the transponder to start the vehicle is.

I have the pre-heat function but I didnt realise this can be used also as a 'pre-cool'? Or have I misunderstood? Idea

Not sure what MY you have but when you press the on button on your remote (or program through the menu on the touch screen) the HeVAC system checks what the cuttent outside air temperature is. if i recall correctly, if OAT is 13 or less then the FBH and blowers kicks in to heat the car ( assuming fuel level not in red and the battery management system doesnt report low battery) if greater than 13 celcius then the fans blow to bring in fresh air to help cool the interior. Note it doesnt use air con to do this just fresh air. Either way it runs for about 15 mins but be aware many owners have had problems with this.
hope that helps
Neil

Yep - should be same as mine then. I don't recall park cooling (venting) as being an optional "add on" to park heating for MY12 cars. If you have one then you have both......I think.

just to close the loop - sadly the l405 remote fob won't pair with the T91 of the L322 despite both being webasto units. Shame.

If anyone sees any T91 fobs going cheap - please drop me a shout. - found some optimistic guy on eBay wanting over £100 for one!!! Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Shocked
