Find a suitable size bolt or pin, push in the end of the vacuum hose, that's it. When your blanking kit arrives, their should be a blank metal stud that protrudes from the right hand side as you look at it, remove your bolt and place the vacuum hose on there.

If you want to clean out the egr, take a look at this video, not exactly like the td6 but very close. I would not bother myself, just fit the new delete kit and plug the vacuum hose. More of a concern would be the build up of black gunk in the inlet manifold. Now that is one nasty job.

why not wait for the egr blanking kit and save yourself a job.. ... - .- -.

i was bored during my lunch break. so went outside and pulled the pipes off the egr. i had a look inside and its got some build up, not much, actually more of a smear on the plunger, which is in the open position.

If its past the redline thats fine, its only in the area of the redline that worries me. |
