Interesting words from Evans on his departure when he said he did the best he could.

Blimey! That was his best?! Shocked Shocked Shocked What would be his worst, then?

And the BBC...

"He firmly believes that the right people remain, on both the production team and presenting team, to take the show forward and make it the hit we want it to be."

It's this last bit where the BBC admit the new iteration hasn't been a hit, despite their previous defence of the viewing figures. Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.

You can read that any way...... it can also imply not as big a hit as we wanted

As mentioned earlier - Evans brought the TFI style to TG and it didn't work - with Leblanc being so laid back, they clashed horribly IMHO

The other 3 have a fighting chance of making a go of it.

Remember when Hammond was introduced as Clarksons right hand man - then May added a few weeks later - there were a lot of negative comments, but the chemistry built up and the show got better.

Agreed. Sabine and Jordan need to jog on. The other 3 could do a pretty solid job. Think Harris should be the anchor - he's excellent. Always liked him, been following his stuff for years. Proper petrolhead.

Like Rory too - seems pretty natural and doesn't try too hard. Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...
