Today I noticed the 'gps' logo on the nav screen was crossed out with a red line. I've had that before, but only in underground car parks or when a significant amount of the sky is blocked by moutains or buildings. The sat nav still seemed to opperate normally. It knew where I was, rotated and moved the map as I drove and was able to provide the normal turn-by-turn directions.
I tried to check the issue with the iid, but I didn't get much. One strange code was UO248-87(2F). Google wasn't helpful with this. Iid didn't seem to find much. Is there something specific to look for?
So, troubleshooting so far:
1. 'clear all faults' using the iid didn't fix the problem.
2. leaving the car and returning later to see if the computers reset. Nope. Still the same.
Any ideas? I don't like the gps error line, but, with the maps so out of date, I also don't want to throw much money at fixing it when an external gps is a lot better (though astetically displeasing).
Yes, I did check and the iid have the latest firmware.
Much thanks in advance.
