other jobs alongside alternator

Not been around for a couple of weeks but the L322 soon put paid to that!!

Our new (tdv8) alternator failed upon start-up yesterday, three weks in, not a happy bunny at all due to the lovely job it is to do (again Evil or Very Mad ). A new Delco one is on way..
What other prev maintenance jobs should I do this time? Or anything worth inspecting as I have it stripped?
Considering the EGR situation as it hasn't had any EGR work (93k miles 07 plate).

Thanks all 2007 Vogue TDV8 with 255/55/20's fitted

Upper turbo hoses, and drive belt would be advisable, as they have to come off anyway

EGRs are in a completely different location

I would suggest replacing the drive belt tensioner and jockey pulleys too.

From memory they're only about £70 for all three.

Yeah, sorry, idler pulleys.

As they age the lubrication dries out and they start to get noisy.

If you're in the depths that much, then it makes sense to do them at the same time.

All done and back together. Charging normally. Did the tensioner and idlers while busy, thanks for the advice.
Now the fun starts with Delco Remy about the faulty alternator... 2007 Vogue TDV8 with 255/55/20's fitted
