Wrapping

Anyone hazard a guess how much it would be to wrap a RRC?

I'm part way through a light restoration and am pondering what to do with the body. A respary is going to set me back about £1500 - 1800.

Is wrapping a better option?

Interested in your spraying quote,
was that to take it, repair, prepare spray and bake, buff, and return, or are you doing some parts yourself please.
It's to base my search to spray another car I have. Similar sized etc.
Thanks.
And is there vat to add please

Wrapping is never as shiny as fresh paint, in my opinion.

I have been lead to believe that wrapping costs around £1500.... whether than includes printed finishes i wouldn't know.... but you could get an interesting result Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Wrapping only stays lloking nice for a few years, a decent paint job will look good for much, much longer...

Wrapping seems to be for people who just fancy something different this year...

Also, because of the thickness of the plastic, it will show every blemish below it so you need to do all the preperation for a respray then wrap or paint, that would cost a lot... Thumbs Up Pete

Yes, but the OP is asking if a wrap is a better option than paint, my point is that you will have to do all the prep for a paint job and then wrap it, that will cost more than a straight repaint or wrap and only last a short time.....

I would think it would seriously effect the value of the vehicle as well... Pete

Thanks for the input.

Last year I had a RRC sprayed, not a bare metal respray and in this case also excluded the roof (as it was good) but did include all prep etc over and above me stripping the car down as much as possible. I did present them with a car that only really needed masking from the window waste upwards. Also the respray was externally visible areas only which was good enough then and also would be good enough on the current project. The cost then was £1200.00 plus vat and the result was excellent. I'm guessing it may be a little more now hence my guesstimate in the OP.

I think the arguments offered point to spraying as the overall better option.

Cheers Thumbs Up 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

A friend had a black doftdash LSE repainted to absolute show standard a year or so ago. Very little in the way of repairs but obviously lots of prep. Every panel off prepped inside out Shocked

Cost north of £7k!!!

My point is... For a decent long lasting, high quality job, i would expect £3.5k would be the minimum...
