I think it's the slightly higher waist line that makes it look bigger, the Ewok looks big on it's own until you put it next to something, and I'm sure that's because it's got a very high waist line... Pete

L405 looks longer cause of the higher leading edge of the bonnet makes the general body shape longer (look at the pic above in top left) . . .the bumpers are similar position, but the bonnet comes further out before cutting down. Similarly, the rear body comes further rearward at the tailgate with less of a step outwards the bumper. So the end to end dimensions are similar, but where the L322 has stepped out bumpers the L405 has less, instead replacing it with longer body panels. You're body panel wise probably gaining about 4cm rear, 4cm front, plus 3cm in overall lenth . . . adds up to at least 10cm longer in body panel along the waistline, which you would visually notice.

The 405 is a tighter fit to get into a single garage as the mirrors don't fold in as much (2073mm as against 2034). That leaves about 1" on either side in my garage for the 405 - a bit uncomfortable. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

wow - I must be the only person that thinks the L322 "looks" bigger and has far more road presence than the 405. |
