Queue assist

Anyone got this?
I think it is part of adaptive cruise control?
Does it work?
Is it worth looking for on a used vehicle?

How many queues do you sit in ?

Not sure if I have it or not - ACC will slow you to a complete stop, but then hold you there until you touch the accelerator. As long as you're moving, it will maintain a distance from the car in front.

It does require a certain difference in speed though - if you approached a stationary queue at speed, it would quite happily allow you to plough into the back of it.

I'm happy to be corrected but I thought queue assist was different to normal ACC. QA will allow a slow crawl even from stationary etc but ACC come to a halt and thats it. (I'm not even sure it operates to a stop to be honest)

Queue relies on the ACC system radars etc but is much more advanced that ACC.

I thought QA a 405 only trick and not available on the 322? Question 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

ACC does not bring you to a stop, it brakes then about 20 mph it flashes warnings about driver intervention.

The cruise does not work below 20 mph.

QA is indeed only available on the L405 not the L322. There might be a software hack to enable it but it wasn't offered AFAIK.

On my L405 it will bring me to a complete stop as long as its a somewhat gradual slowdown.

If someone in front brakes sharply it will beep and bang on about driver intervention, but is already braking - I've not been brave enough to see how hard it would brake if I didn't intervene.

Same here - but it will brake damn hard.

In terms of QA, the ACC in my L322 would slow down to about 20-30mph before it would turn off. L405 goes down to a stop. It will hold you at a stop indefinitely (or longer than I have patience). If the car ahead moves off, you can resume by tapping the accelerator.

One thing to note is that the QA function holds you with the brake lights on (glaring into the retinas of the driver behind you). If you slip on the handbrake, the brake lights go out but it turns off the QA (you can re-engage at about 20 mph)
