Flexi brake line lengths and fittings?

Hi all,

Given that off the shelf stainless braided lines arent available for an L322, I've found a company called Hel that makes flexi lines to order. You tell them what hose length and what fittings you want and they make them up.

Can someone tell me please the appropriate dimensions for front hoses, and for the 2 flexible bits of the rear hose (I'll get some lengths of pipe made to go between them to replicate the rigid sections)

Thanks,
Matt NW060

I looked at doing that, was going to get the rears in one piece as it was cheaper, was a lot, lot more than original pipes and my originals lasted for 13 years so didn't think it was worth it, with the modern flexi hoses there isn't even an advantage in using braided on pedal feel either... Pete

Thanks chaps,

Can someone tell me please also what the fittings and fitting sizes are on either end of the fronts and rears?

As for the cost - it seems that SHB500124 front hoses are are £15 to £30 depending on if you go pattern or genuine - having quickly mocked up some HEL ones with an estimate of fittings from the picture of genune hoses, plus the correct length, they come to £24! Am I missing something?

Your missing the unique selling point of the stuff that I listed.... they sell reusable fittings, so you can make up the pipe to your required length and ends, and at the angle you want. Their own brand Moquip is under £7 per meter Shocked Granted you have to add the ends, but you could fit the ends and then run the pipe.... FYI the hose will only like bending one way... if you get the ends swagged on at the wrong angle you'll be in a world of pain Shocked As for the end fitting sizes I would ask around and try and cop hold of an old pipe so you can measure them, or try a parts supplier they might take pity Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer...
