I believe you can also use a certain Webasto fob; I am told they supplied the heater etc to LR.

There is another thread on this topic so worth trying the search function.

Had already done lots of forum searching but been doing a bit more, I need to wipe the blood from my eyes.......lol
So it appears that if timed park heating works in your car then the remote, suitably paired, will also activate it.
Another thread points towards the smaller t91 remotes - I seem to recall a thread i previously read where someone couldn't get it to work with what would be a t90 car, or am I wrong and they will work? 2007 Vogue TDV8 with 255/55/20's fitted

You need to look in the equipment bay on the drivers side in the boot and check you have the receiver module. This can be upgraded to suit the later smaller remote.

I also remember reading here that someone had connected a remote box using GSM (Mobile Phone) technology so you can text the car rather than having to be in remote range.

MW Car history includes: LR Series 3, RR Classic x 4, LR 101, Discovery 1 and 2 and now FFRR.

Misses FFRR has the heater, purchased a remote but not programmed it as yet but reading the below I presume I'm supposed to have this module as well?

Thought it was somewhere near the battery?

there have been a few threads re this and i think the outcome was that although you have the FBH with the timer on the menu screen , you wont necessarily have the remote setup in the rear cubby hole.... ... - .- -.
