Might be leaving the fold

Hi all,

As some of you will know I've been a member here since 2009, but I'm looking at selling up and getting something totally different- itch to scratch if you will..

I'm going to look at a 6 series and a 4 series at the weekend. Not sure whether to PX or try to sell privately at the moment, grateful as usual for any advice!

It's all happened quite fast! As well as having a car that's done 112000 I'm also going to be doing a lot more mileage for work and so think perhaps the SC needs to go. Crying or Very sad

This forum has been one of the more positive RR owning experiences and I thank you all, obviously I'll lurk in case any of my experience can help Smile Formerly happymadison1978

Wish you well on whatever you decide ..... Looks like me and you will just have to lurk until such times I / you decide what to buy too .... Laughing Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Thanks a lot, Mick! Really kind words.

Yes indeed I'm sure lurking won't be so bad Laughing

Certainly it would be a much poorer place without your humour! Formerly happymadison1978

lurking is good.. Thumbs Up

i'm sure once that itch gets sorted [E45 is good for that] you'll be looking for another FF.. Wink

as for selling , the dealers are offering silly money so i reckon private would harvest the most cash..

all the best.. Wink ... - .- -.

Haha Thanks a lot, Stan!

Yeah hopefully I will be able to offer some help what with all the time I've spent with various parts of my Fatty scattered on the garage floor Laughing

Yeah I think you're right about the silly prices from dealers! Hopefully someone will get a decent deal- I'm just a touch impatient Laughing

Anyhow, hopefully you're right about the being back in a 5l sometime Smile

Cheers

GONE!

Well, that was easy!

14 plate 428i convertible being collected Friday/Saturday. (pics to follow) I know I'm really going to miss the 4.2 but it's time for a change.

I'll have some bits and pieces to sell so keep your eyes peeled for those.

All the best everyone!

All the best with the 428... Heres hoping for some nice sunny and warm (ish) days so you make the most out of it with your top off (ohh err missus)

Looking forward to some of that weather as well soon for my toy to come out.

We'll see you back here one day though.... Thumbs Up Ash

Will be interested to hear about the 4 Series

We are fairly sure we will change the little 120d for a 435d next year

@L19 Thumbs Up

I'll stick some pictures up and give some impressions. I guess the big diesel will be a different and much more tractable beast than the 2l turbo four banger petrol I'm buying! I tried the 635d and really liked it- incredible torque all through the gears.

I have been trying to convince the OH that a 6 series would be worth trying as well as a 4 but she is insistent on a 4

Being sensible it probably will be for the best as the 435d comes with X drive as standard so she won't be as likely to slide it backwards into a hedge Thumbs Up
