So sitting in car park with car running (messing with rear DVD settings) and all of a sudden felt the car lower on its own no messages shown??, set back to normal running height and had a quick look/listen around all the shock bags but couldn't see/ hear anything obvious, set to highest height and still nothing, set back to normal waited for 5 mins then drove 10 miles home and all ok,

Is this a sign something may be failing ?

Just decided not to renew the warranty ( May have to re think this one and see if it fully covers suspension )

From memory these things try to "self level" every now and again (at least I hope so as mine does that as well)

I think it's Land Rover's way of ensuring that you don't get too smug in your car..... for all we know it could be a built in revenue generator for the stealers I wonder how many have done the sudden 2-3" drop and ended up at the garage for an hours diagnostic session? Recon there's a few

As long as it either recovers or I don't end up looking directly at the road (which did happen when the air bags popped) I tend not to worry about it, other wise my Roverphobia would get even worse  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

FYI there is a good chance that it wouldn't covered on the warranty, as it would be ware and tare, not failure  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I replaced both front air shocks a few months back and refurbished the compressor and it does it every now and again - I'm not sure if the car is still trying to recalibrate (if indeed it does that) or its normal as i don't do a lot of miles. I don't have an indy near me with a "proper" computer so it's hard to tell what's normal and what's not - Google is sometimes not my friend

I suppose that there is a chance of a wee leak in the air system, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. As long as it's not on it's bump stops the next morning there wont be too much wrong, if any

If your really worried then it's out with the Fairy No not that sort... washing up liquid is what I meant Fling it around the suspension when it's at full height and look for bubbles..... if there's a spot that looks like it's trying to make an Aero bar then you've found it Personally I can live with a small leak, as long as the compressor isn't on all the time trying to keep up with it, there shouldn't be any problems  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Definitely hadn't touched the access button on drivers door as I was in the back looking at the screens/ remote,

Tried the 'Fairy' .....and no bubbles,

Still not on bumpstops,

So Hopefully it was just 'checking itself' as someone said (after all we all do the bumpstops check with fairy liquid don't we )

They all do it, no idea why, they just do. Nothing to worry about at all.
