TDV8 Coolant Temps

Hi Folks,

Can someone advise what should the "normal" coolant temp be in usual driving conditions for the 3.6TDV8?

IE Round town/Hi Way etc.

Many thanks

Jerry

Thanks.

But wanted peoples experiences, Motorway/round town and stuck in the jam crawling through traffic.

Does anybody record their figures?

Cheers, Jerry

Just happened to check ours after a run before work on Wednesday with the IID tool.
Water temp was 85 deg, with the temp gauge sat in the middle.
Apparently with the temp gauge, once the engine gets up to around 80 deg and as far as 105 deg, it will show normal.
Before and after these ranges that's when it will show it either warming up or going into the hot zone.

Thank you,

Yes mine is around 86 whilst driving. In the traffic jam (and they are serious ones here), it climbs to 90.

I'm at an altitude of 3500-4000 feet, and the external temp was 29c on the day I took those.

Cheers, Jerry
