digital tv upgrade - how to use usb playback?

hi guys has anyone had the baris upgrade for digital tv and uses the usb function?
ive never been able to get it to work and just wondering how its done, ive used a couple of different sticks and get the notification that its plugged in but cant figure out how to get onto the right menu to play it?

any help would be great
