Easy self fix. Make sure u know which end is kaput - cable is in 2 pieces and both are separate part numbers and come together inside the bonnet space. I will warrant it has chafed at the handle inside by the drivers door! |

Same just happened to mine, I just replaced the lot from Dan, new handle and bottom half of cable, it comes with the whole white plastic bit, you just need to use the screw that holds the handle on...

Had the same on my son's audi quattro earlier this year. Just the plastic bit broke, easy fix but seems all manufacturers have adopted the plastic route. |
