Thanks for the reply, ive read that the central unlock button won't work due to the alarm being engaged. You say easy open the tailgate? I'd thought about undoing the lock mechanism and trying to force it... |

The boot lid is fitted with emergency release tabs, they are a to get to but better than braking glass, at least get you in the car

Thanks all who have replied, after spending the afternoon doing other things I thought I'd try again. Still no joy, held the buttons down for an eternity. Nothing. Ranted and cursed (lots). Nothing. Then as if by magic, the tailgate button worked!
