I am seriously considering buying an L322, most likely a 2009 5.0L petrol. I'm trying to establish if such a vehicle will fit in my garage, height being the limiting factor. The published specifications on Parkers website quote the height as 1865mm but doesn't state what suspension setting that is for.

At that height, it will be just a tad too high to fit. So is this dimension likely to be for the vehicle's lowest setting?

i am guessing that the limiting factor of garage height, is the up and over door.
remembering to lower the car everytime you drive it in and out is going go wrong, once, and that too many... you could consider changing that up and over door to a modern electric roller shutter. these are often white, but can be other colours too. it could also mean that its remote control, and more secure, -and you wont whack your head on the lock, of the old type.
if its a pair of open out doors. you might be able to trim the crossbeam, and extend the door heights.

i sometimes drive into low shopping carparks and it rattles the dangling warnings poles, as i have my roof bars on a lot. -i drop it down, and drive real slow, to keep it down. i have to remember to drive slowly out, so i dont catch any possible lights or even worse, wedge it on an up ramp!

where we take our motorcaravan for MOT, i have to hold away a dangling light with some old wire, so it goes under, and again, im fearfull the spotty kid with drive it out, and knock all the skylights to pieces.

It's worth noting the shark aerial on the roof is different heights also.

Early - none
Mid - tall
Late - lower

I have 2007 model and swapped the shark fin to a later model to ensure i could get in previous garage ....

However would agree with previous post on replacing door with roller shutter to get extra space. Stephen Gazard

Well if there is an opportunity to own a Range Rover then surely it's worth moving house for !?

I've got a standard size garage with an up and over door and there's no way the RR will fit in even on the lowest setting.

Tried mine in my garage just the once, not long after I got it. Height wise, just squeezed under the open door. My God but it's big! Previous cars:

The biggest problem with most garages is if you can actually get the car doors open once you've driven in there. Most of them seem to have been designed for Austin 7's. (bearing in mind i've not seen your garage), i'd say make sure you consider the width as well as the height.
