Thinking im going to have to lump it to be honest now as sony have confirmed they don't offer anything which is annoying. Another option would have been if just the centre channel could have been pushed over HDMI to the TV but that doesn't look possible either so hey ho!

What about a slim speaker either side - both cabled up as a centre speaker ?

I know but choice was between them where they are and rears correctly heighted and spaced or fronts correct and no rears FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

So far behind the TV seems to be working well. I need to adjust the angle of the speaker to lean it forward a bit more and get some more speaker exposed to underneath as they angle up a little in their normal position.
