DPF on dash

Hi guys the DPF light came on the dash last week so I took it on the motorway and travelled about 5 miles about 70mph
light went out all is well

came in yesterday swmbo has just informed me the light is back on

so my question to you all is this car as only done about 200miles since I got warning light off there is a lot of road works going on where I stay at the moment (the dreaded raith interchange for all the Glasgow based members)
so the car has not been above 50 MPH for any of the 200 miles it has covered should the light be coming back on that quickly ive checked the manual but there is no info there

TIA

Hi,

I have no experience of the FFRR DPF but I had my 59 plate skoda superb DPF go and it wasn't cheap. If I were you I would take it out for a good 30 mins keeping the revs above 3k on the motorway and see if it can burn it out. My Skoda used to to a region when I turned the engine off I didn't figure out what it was doing until too late.

a cooling fan would stay on full back for about 5 mins after turning the car off. Not sure if LR have the same set up but take for a good long run and keep the revs high.

It takes a good 20 miles or so of motorway (70mph) driving to fully clear out the DPF Thumbs Up
