Tdv8 puff of smoke

Hi looking for some advise from seasoned full fat owners I've had my 2012 4.4tdv8
For a few months now but I've noticed that when I drop the hammer there is a cloud of
Smoke that comes from the back end
I must point out that neither myself or the good lady drive it hard
But I've noticed that this is there when I am heavy on the right foot
Also the car won't be 3 years old until the end of next month do you think that I should get it in to Land Rover or is this
Normal
Thanks

Black smoke or blue? Almost regardless, if the updated secondary turbo drain hasn't been fitted then get the dealer to do it before the end of warranty as its quite a job.

Secondary turbo drain time..... Should be done FOC by the dealer as it is a known problem. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Got the car back last week
It has been fixed under warranty they said it was booked in as a 18 hr job so god knows what it would have cost with parts as well
So all in all I'm happy they fixed it

Is this only on the 4.4's or does it cover 3.6's? And how do you know if it's been carried out? Ta

Craig or any one else who may know what do you think that would have cost me if it hadn't been fixed under warranty

Your dealer in Glasgow has a labour rate of a little over £100 per hour. Wouldn't have been a cheap fix Shocked

Warning - Most LR dealers will not do the Drain Mod outside of warranty period. Even LR Customer Service said NO. This is daft as its a known engineering fault and its nobody's fault but Land Rover. £1000 labour alone.

I think you can probably double that labour amount Gaz, if it's 18 hrs... Pretty sure Stratstone's are over £130 an hour now Shocked my math tells me that's £2350.00 before extras & VAT so probably the thick end of £3000 Shocked
