United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue TDV6 Corris Grey
Dashcams

After a particularly unpleasant incident with the Richard Heads of the motorbike fraternity this evening, the time has come to get a proper, good quality dash cam up and running. Need one that works in the dark as well as the day light as bikers now see a stretch of the A570 in my neck of the woods as being their own personal road to play on .
I want one that has the quality necessary to record number plates. There was some great footage on a thread on this site not long ago that debunked some woman's story that a member had hit her on the motorway when it was clear from his footage that she had spun her car first with out any contact.

If I'd had the ability to record tonights pathetic goings on, I'd have no problem with going to the police and laying a complaint.

After lots of research and testing with friends unit I settled on the Blackvue DR650GW. Inc front and rear camera and built in wifi. Plus the apps are very good too. It had a bit of an issue with high contrast but latest firmware has fixed this. I run 1080p front and 720p rear and you can pick out numbers plates fine. Best thing it has stealth mode so the dealer thinks it's off and they can lie through there teeth. If you pm you email I'll send you some test footage. To use parking mode properly I also added the power pack, this turns the camera off when the voltage drops. Also budget for a class 10 branded 64gb card do you can fit and forget. 2010 - Range Rover VSE 3.6 TDV8

There are some slightly older threads in this ever changing market re dash cams. I was watching recently on YouTube, a reviewer named 'tech moan' he does lots of dash cam reviews. But as I say the market is changing all the time.

I've had an Eprance for nearly 2 years now. It was only about £50 but works perfectly, it's not just really good for £50 it's really good full stop - day or night.

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

I got a transcend cam a few weeks back off of Amazon, clicks on each time you turn the car on. The footage seems pretty reasonable and it was only about £50 ish. Whether you could capture number plates I don't know, I haven't put the sd card in the PC yet.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
