2009 TDV8 Gearbox cover

should there be a protection plat/cover below the gearbox.

I was having a look under the car yesterday and noticed that the gearbox filter/pan was exposed. I know the D3/D4 has a cover, and the FF looked like it had some fixings points, but no cover.

any info appreciated Bow down AKA DiscoDunc

On my 2007 tdv8 I have 2 plastic covers , 1 under the radiator and 1 under the engine and the forward part of the gearbox, if that's what you have then nothing is missing .

however my 2nd cover got badly damaged and I'm after a replacement and struggling to source without getting a dealer new one.
when I took the 2nd cover off I noticed a considerable increase in cabin noise , so if yours is missing it will be quieter when replaced

Nothing missing Thumbs Up

The plastic gearbox sump is exposed. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
