MY2010 Folding Mirror Issue

Hi All,

Looking for some guidance as I can only find info on pre 2010 mirrors. When my mirrors fold, the passenger side makes a crunching sound and only folds half way. My vogue has the camera and blind spot mirrors and I'm struggling to see if the motor and gear mech are the same as the 2009 version.

Also how do I separate the mirror body from the arm/mount?

Thanks in advance. 2010 - Range Rover VSE 3.6 TDV8

I dont know if this can help you but,

When i got my RR this year, while looking through the service history etc i came across a bill for sorting out a folding door mirror problem in Feb of last year.
"Mirrors not folding in and out correctly--- carry out hard battery reset".
To me this sounds like the mirrors forgot their relative postion to the car and battery dis/reconnect resets everything.
After reading this i did go out and try them and both are ok.
As I said im not sure if this solution is applicable or its a more serious problem ie internal motor/gears.

Peter

Thanks Peter, I will give it a try but I can't help feeling the crunch means new gears or motor housing. Will have a play when the rain calms down. Cheers Jon 2010 - Range Rover VSE 3.6 TDV8
