Any support for a newbie fellas, whats the best way to diagnose the brake system current condition? |

Spongy pedal could be, worn master cylinder, air in system, old brake fluid, perished flexi pipes and probably a few other things...

So im at the garage, sourced original parts from a supplier close by, had them installed, just a replacement job as requested.

New brakes normally need a period to 'bed in' so you'll usually find they feel weak for the first few miles, then they gradually improve. |

A soft pedal can be due to only fitting new pads as the disc will have a small lip of rust at times only minor but enough for the new pads to ride high on that abd you can get a siight deflection / bending of the pads till they bed in and wear that lip into them.
