United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Rimini Red
Thank you

A big thank you Bow down to all who have assisted, helped and moreover supported me over the last 7 months of membership and ownership of my FFRR TDV8 but after 7 months of 'it just not being right' being back to the dealer 3 times, telling me things had been done, when they had not. Problems within 24 hours of ownership and arguing for 4 months before they would accept it back unfortunately really took the shine off it. I tried, but the feeling was just not there, some may understand me others may think, 'it's only a car', but you need to 'feel the luv'.
Whilst moved on from my FFRR I have now bought a beautiful 2012 RRS HSE Luxury with 24k mikes and ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, soft ivory leather interior. Soooooo comfortable, seats even have moveable side bolsters. Ride is excellent, more compact inside but ergonomically just right for me.
Regards

Yeah, just one of those things, one thing after the next and the lies. Four months with a faulty passenger door, lock window etc etc Mad before they would even take it in.
So different to my first 03 4.4, that had to rank as the BEST car I have had, felt a million dollars driving it from the first moment, BMW V8 was faultless, everything worked, 5 years never let me down, really really miss it. The RRS I must say drives impeccably, ok it's a chip of the old BMW designed block but 'has the feel'.
Thank you again Pete, buzz be if this way Thumbs Up

At least you are staying with a LR.

There are always lemon cars out there for every make and it is a shame your FF was one of them.

I am sure one day you might venture back the the large side.... Cool Tom

The RRS was very much a Ford era car in it's concept as a second product to come of the Disco production line and the handling was rumored to have been signed of by Richard Parry-Jones himself and that is why it handles so naturally for such a very heavy car . 2008 MY Supercharged

.'''.....and that is why it handles so naturally for such a very heavy car .''

indeed, i seem to remember looking up, that the early range rover sport, was indeed heavier than the similar year FFRR. by about 50kg. not a lot, but enough to put me off one without even driving. i thought i liked them, (early one) as they looked like my old p38. but i wont start a RRS rant here.
I shall only quote (again) Tennyson, to all FFRR 'lemon'-ites,

I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.

Thumbs Up

I had a 2010 sport right after my FF 2006 4.4 V8 and I have to say I hated it. The only nice thing about it was the engine. I had the V6 3.0 Diesel and it was superb.

I test drove the new sport a few weeks ago and I have to say that was very nice and a world apart from the old one.
