Found a local LR Indy who was factory trained and worked at local main dealer. He talks knowledgabley on the phone so I don't think he is a BS merchant.

I've recently been quoted mid 300's inc the VAT. And about the same for a mega flush (without filter change). |

Oil from main dealer is £24+vat but I've seen it for £15 online, I bought all the oil myself and took mechanic 2 hours to do gearbox oil/filter and both diffs so I would say your price is very high |

Ask him how much he'll do it for if you supply the oil. It might just be that his supplier (the place he has an account with), charges him a lot for the oil. |

Another potential complication is that there seems to be the need for a LR special tool to access the filler/level plug on the 6 spd auto box... Discovery 4 HSE

Yes Mikey ,just looked at my mates today ,the filler plug on his 6 speed is almost the same as on my 5 speed just an Allen key required. |
